Overview

As a Real Estate Loan Servicing Investor Specialist, you will perform various duties regarding oversight of the credit union mortgage investor servicing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Credit Union Mortgage Investor Compliance.
  • Act as the investor expert on given projects and system implementation(s).
  • Stay current with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Federal Home Loan Bank compliance regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with onboarding new investors as needed.
  • Assist with vendor management related to investor processing.
  • Assist with investor initiated reviews and audits as needed.
  • Write and maintain policies, procedures and documentation for mortgage investor related systems and/or processes.
  • Collaborate with IT to develop and determine business requirements as it relates to investor processing and/or investor compliance.
  • Communicate with departments affected by new process (s) to make them aware of changes, provide necessary information, and to aid them in creating new processes.
  • Develop and present training in collaboration with the training departments to increase knowledge of credit union, investor processes.
  • Assist management in developing and implementing new team member training.
  • Provide peer mentorship to Real Estate Loan Servicing Specialists processing investor related and other tasks.
  • Partner with management to improve investor processes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to form and maintain positive team member relationships and team culture.
  • Proficient in all daily tasks related to all investor and portfolio products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in relevant field required. 3+ years’ experience required. Strong analytical, organizational, oral and written communication skills. Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours. Ability to prioritize, meets deadlines, and manages changing priorities with limited direction. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of the Credit Union and member records at all times.

High level of professionalism. Make recommendations to meet the goals and objectives of the Credit Union functions, procedures, and policies. Must have strong analytical, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills. Logical, process-oriented thinker with a natural sense of urgency. Good interpersonal and client-handling skills with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical details. Excellent English oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with other department supervisors. In depth knowledge of credit union operational processes, methodologies, and procedures. Requires excellent attention to detail. Must be able to meticulously analyze rules and regulations to help maintain compliance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of the Credit Union and member records at all times. Professional in appearance, attendance, quality, and quantity of work performed. Ability to work under pressure and through conflicting situations. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Reach keyboards
  • Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
